I help people preserve the stories of their past family history and maintain their traditions and values and create a link between the ages, containing past and present expectations, sacred memories and future promise.

Teddy Warria is an African entrepreneur, Author, and Youth advocate. He is passionate about innovation and human development and works with the youth of Africa and the world as a founding president and CEO of Africa 2.0 in Kenya. Most recently he is the Co-Founder of #100Mandelas – The Flagship program of The Mandela Institute For Humanity (mifh.org), Ideas Come To Life (ictlife.com), and the Mandela Global Leadership Movement for Change (MGLMC) Worldwide. He is also the Founding Trustee of The Adebisi Babatunde Thomas Entrepreneurship Institute (ABTEI) available at abtei-africa.org.

Prior to this, he Co-Created and Co-Owns Africa’s Talking Group Ltd and Focus Mobile Ltd (Operators of SMSLeopard.com) as a key founding team member. Africa’s Talking Group Ltd (africastalking.com), an IFC-backed Pan-African technology company headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Established in the year 2010 with operations in 18 African countries. He remains a Shareholder of Focus Mobile Ltd, Operators of SMSLeopard.com, Easy to use Bulk SMS Service Provider in Kenya.  During this time of Corona, he is  building a hobby venture, Son of the Nile Ventures to support local literature and tourism, Environmental conservation and Circular economy, EdTech and E-Commerce, Media, and Entertainment based in  Kamnua Village for the Lake Victoria Region Economic Bloc (LVREB) in Western Kenya.

In 2014, he authored the introductory biography of the late Mama Sarah Ogwel Onyango, who was famously known as Mama Sarah Obama, grandmother to the 44th president of the United States, in Susan Wakhungu Githuku’s Wisdom of the EldersPersonal Reflections of Over 70 Kenyans who Have Lived Through Changing Times (Footprints Press, 2014). He is almost completing a Co-Created book, Mandela Warria MomentsA Tribute on Mandela’s Centenary and Beyond by  a Young African as a personal tribute to the first black president of South Africa as the 2018-2019 United World College-USA’s Bartos Fellow, The Bartos Institute for Constructive Engagement of Conflict (CEC), Montezuma, New Mexico.

He is a Director of the 2020 Emmy-Award winning Climate Advocates Voces Unidas (CAVU.org) based in Santa Fe, New Mexico with operations in the American West. In addition, Teddy is on the Advisory Board of Wellspring Foundation, a non-profit focusing on scaling social impact globally, which also curates The Castle Gathering held at the prestigious Segalari Castle, in Castagneto Carducci, Tuscany, Italy.

In late 2020, he was invited by Omar Ben Yedder, Publisher and Managing Director, IC Publications (Publishers of the New African) to serve on the Advisory Board of IC Publications.

Teddy is a key founding member of Africa Cancer Foundation (ACF) available at africacancerfoundation.org.

Teddy Warria is an alum of South Plains College and Bard College where he was  a Distinguished Scientist Scholar (DSS). Teddy is a  Public Policy and  International Affairs (PPIA)  fellow from the then-Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University (2005) under then-Dean, Anne Marie-Slaughter. He is a Leadership Network for Change (LNC) member after completing the 2015 Draper Hills Summer Fellowship (DHSF ’15 Kenya) in Democracy, Development, and Rule of Law at the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) within the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI), Stanford University. He is an alum of Lenana School and Buruburu I Primary School in Nairobi, Kenya.

He was the youngest judge at the Transform Kenya Awards: HONORING THOSE WHO MAKE ADIFFERENCE by the Standard Group and Deloitte in a panel of judges that was Chaired by Martin Oduor-Otieno, Former Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) CEO. In 2019, he was made a judge for the 100&Change Competition by the MacArthur Foundation’s Lever for Change led by Cecilia Conrad, Ph.D.

He joined  Hive – The Global Community for Entrepreneurs (HIVE.org) as a member in 2019 at the Hive Global Leaders Summit (HIVE GLS) in 1440 Multiversity (1440.org), Scotts Valley, California. He was admitted to Schmidt’s Futures Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) network (www.schmidtfutures.com) by Eric Schmidt, Co-Founder of Schmidt Futures, and former CEO of Google, Inc. and former Chairman of Alphabet, Inc. in 2020.

Teddy Warria’s team was the first  in the first class of eFounders Fellowship: Shaping  Champions for the New Economy (2017) – A joint initiative by the then-Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi’s United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Jack Ma’s Alibaba Business School in Hangzhou, China. Warria is an Ali Abdul Mafuruki’s Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI) Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN), The Aspen Institute.

He indulges in nature conservation, bird watching, hiking, travelling, listening to all forms of music, including silence, and dances willingly to the beat of an African drum, Bul, as he imagines and feels the ebbs and flows of River Nile as a River Lake Nilote, Luo, from the Swag City of Kisumu.
